Annie x Vincent Puppies ~ 4 Days Old

Here we are at 4 days old already!  All our puppies are thriving and have their routine of eating/sleeping….repeat…. down pat!  🙂  Annie is still getting “room service” in the whelping pen so she doesn’t have to leave her babies too long.  We were blessed with an additional puppy in this litter, an extra special surprise for us, so we are accepting a reservation for one of our sweet little boys!  If interested, please e-mail me at vickityson@comcast.net or call at 717-870-0659.  Thanks so much.

Annie x Vincent Puppies Arrived 7/28/12

Annie/Vince puppies are here!  Our Annie and Vincent blessed us with a total of 8 pups, 6 boys and 2 girls, in gorgeous shades of caramel.  Our first puppy arrived about 1 a.m. on Saturday morning and we finished up at around 6 a.m..  Whew!  Definitely a long day for sure as Stage I labor started around 5 a.m. Friday morning, but so well worth the wait!  Annie was such a trooper and sure does love her babies!  We have to bribe her to leave them for a second to eat so we’ve been giving her “room service” in the whelping pen……what a devoted Mom she is!  🙂

We have a group photo of them for now with individual pics to follow soon.  We’re still working on getting the nursery all cleaned up and will give Annie a mini-spa day today, so we’ve lots on the agenda!

Bella x Mel Puppies ~ 1 Week

Happy 1st birthday week to our puppies!  In just a week, our pups are now certified pudge-muffins! 🙂  Apparently, they’ve found that hanging out at the milk bar is the greatest thing ever.  What a great life……eating and sleeping….sleeping and eating.  Can’t beat that!  Bells is so attentive to her babies, ever alert to any cries from the “kids.”  There’s a cute pic of her below, on her watch over the crew.

The puppies’ eyes and ears are still closed, but will open very soon and they’ll all start their wobble walk/tumbling routine….so funny to see how they learn to stand and walk.

Photo sessions are pretty tricky already so I’ve developed a “plan of attack!”  lol…. I’ve found I have to get them right after they have full bellies and are in a deep slumber, then I make my move, scoop them up and take my pics!  Most likely they won’t fuss then, but sometimes I have a “protestor” or two…not bad for newborns though!  🙂  We’ll be taking photos about every 2 weeks, sometimes more frequently, time permitting.  All of our puppies have families anxiously awaiting them!  Thanks for following our puppies as they grow…..

Bella x Mel Puppies ~ Born 7/17/12 !!

Hello everyone….we’ve exciting news! Congrats to our Bella/Mel puppy families!  Our repeat litter of gorgeous Bella/Mel puppies arrived late yesterday afternoon.  Bella had (8) little beauties to include 5 girls and 3 boys.  Of the boys, we had one chocolate and two creams, so we’ve been very blessed with a nice mix of genders and colors!  🙂  I’ve got to admit a daytime delivery coupled with the record time Bella delivered which was an hour and 10 minutes, (go Bella!) was a breeder’s dream come true!  We were all able to get a great night’s sleep and were up early this morning to take care of momma and babies!  Everyone gained weight and no wonder.  When I checked everyone through the night and first thing this morning, they were still camped out at the milk bar!  🙂

Okay now a bit about this stage….right now the puppies cannot see or hear.  They are finding their way to their momma via scent.  Their eyes will open within a couple of weeks as their ear canals will.  It’s truly amazing how quickly they’ll grow and change in their development.  Even though they are so tiny at birth now, they are very active in their movements, crawling toward Mom when hungry and getting vocal when they’ve scooted away from her or their littermates.  A side note about Bella……when I weighed the puppies this morning and took some photos, she turned into a true “nervous Nellie” Mom not knowing what I was doing exactly with her babies!  She paced and fretted…..all she knew is that she just wanted those babies back in the whelping pen with her ASAP!  Hey, all us Moms have been there with our own babies right??  🙂
